The title above is the name of the Jenny Lewis song that was my free download of the week from iTunes. Make sure that all of you iTunes users download it, as it is awesome (and free too).
So the weekend's been great so far. Last night my book club met where we discussed "Pope Joan" by Donna Woolfolk Cross, which I had finally finished Thursday night. Overall, 4 of the 5 of us liked it (it didn't grip my roommate). We spent a lot of time criticizing all of the convienient coincidences that helped moved the plot along but overall it was a well-written piece of historical fiction. After consuming quite a bit of wine and tasty food, our conversation drifted from the book to other deep philospical issues to which we posed the question "What would Pope Joan do?" This has now become a bit of an inside joke.
Today I slept in and then spent the afternoon watching my tape of Daily Shows and Colbert Reports from the past week. I met up a friend from home who was in Toronto doing some shopping with friends. We went out for dinner. When they'd headed home I met up with my dear friend TB for coffee. Oh! Big news. Last night, TB gave me permission to use her real name in my blog. So from now on, I can call her Becca T here! Woo!
I walked home from coffee with Becca T. The weather has been very warm for January in Toronto. As I walked home, it was drizzling and the stretch of Yonge St. I was on reminded me of Adelaide Australia. I got rather nostalgic for my trip last summer...
Hmm, on that note, I might watch my Ben Folds DVD for a bit before going to bed. So make sure you all download that song and have a good night!

don't you love your free tune of the week?
i will head that direction right now.
hi becca t! haha!
i never ask for permission, i just beg for forgiveness
I too love the free tune of the week, what a great way to uncover new artists. I too never ask for permission, I don't care if I use a friend's first name. If they have a problem with it than too bad :P From TB to BT, heh now everyone's onto your nicknaming convention.
I think I finally got iTunes (I *think* because I don't actually know whether or not it worked) so I'm going to try to figure out what's going on! And if there's free... that's even better. Book club- that sounds fun.
The weather has been extremely warm. I was in your area on Friday and I felt like I drove to Miami. 6 hours made a world of difference!!! Urban Heat is wonderful
yeah... this weather is good for making mud angels... not so good for snow angels.
Dude, that rain yesterday just sucked. This is not the winter that I signed up for.
D
Here's where my sleuthing skills came in handy..... I knew TB was Becca looooong time ago. You
e-mailed me a picture of you, her and Ben Lee a while back and the picture was named named something like beccabenchrissy....and I figured it out.
So everytime time I read you blog, I had a face for the inverted initials that are Becca.
Yeah, we were having crazy spring weather...however the snow hit us hard last night and all day today. It's winter again!
I was going to make a note about the reversed initials, but you guys beat me to it! LOL, we're alllll on to you! :)
I'm obsessed with the Daily Show and Colbert Report. They are too funny! Stephen Colbert has the oddest sense of humour, I die of laughter. The Daily Show is smart-funny which I love, but what can beat a show that bashes bears? "Godless killing machines" LOL. Ok, I'm done.
Great blog! :)
