Moving pictures, silent films.

I haven’t posted in awhile. I wish that I could say it was because my life has been super exciting and busy with many social activities and romantic dalliances, but alas it hasn’t. I’ve been spending the nice weather outside lots just walking aimlessly accompanied by my trusty iPod. On Tuesday, I did get together for beer and greasy food with a long-lost friend who I recently found on Facebook, so I guess I can’t say I’ve been a complete social recluse. Also, I did have dragonboat practice on Friday night. I am enjoying this endeavour thus far; who says that drunk people don’t make good decisions? This is something I never would have signed up while sober. I guess the moral of the story is that I would have been involved more in athletic activities in my life if I was a heavy drinker. Yup, I’m pretty sure that’s the moral.

I spent the weekend in St. Ratford for Mothers’ Day and my mom’s birthday which is in a couple days. I didn’t even phone any friends; I figured it’d be good to stick around home and watch movies with the ‘rents. I saw The Queen (v. good) and The Pursuit of Happyness (not bad). Also, I got my hair coiffed and highlighted for summer. I haven’t touched my hair colour in three years after a very traumatic highlighting experience, but I decided it was time to jump back on that horse, and I’m glad I did since I’m pleased with the results. I also indulged in the purchase of some new summer clothing. It’s getting hot inside my school, so I need some lighter stuff.

Right now I’m on the train and I can’t focus on a book or even a sudoku puzzle. A lot of the time when I take the train, I’m content sitting, listening to music, staring out the window and letting my mind drift (often into sleep), but for some reason that’s not working tonight, so I decided to pull out my laptop and write. I might actually write some posts that have been kicking around my old brain and post them next time I’m blocked.

Note: The writing of posts did not go well. I started, then got distracted by a game of spider solitaire, then got of a bit of a headache from staring at a computer screen on a bumpy train. I suppose those posts will have to kick around my brain awhile longer

Also, the train actually got me home on time for once. *Gasp!* That rarely happens. Anyhow, when I got to my apartment, there were three police cars outside. Weird. There were a couple of officers in the lobby, but no commotion, thankfully. Wonder what was up...

I have no idea what I would be like if I were a heavy drinker. Probably much sexier in my own mind.

I laugh at things that aren't funny when I drink too much. Make sure you get enough rest!
