I count to three and grin...

I love short weeks; tomorrow is Wednesday already!

Okay, I have lots of exciting pieces of news to relay:

1) Weakerthans Road Trip!! On June 21st, the Weakerthans are playing a one-off show in Hamilton. My dear friend Becca T and I are going to go. We got our tickets yesterday! Back in university, the Weakerthans played in Hamilton, and we made the trip by GO Bus. It resulted in us getting lost in the sketchy part of town, almost freezing to death and spending the hours betwee 2 and 5 am in a Tim Hortons, but it was good times and a great concert. We're going to re-live the experience, but this time going by rental car, which will not only get us to the concert, but help us deal with our collective fears of driving in Toronto. Anyhow, I'm very excited. My two-year drought of not seeing the Weakerthans is almost over!

2) As you know, my roommate is getting married, which is why I have to move. The wedding is in Vancouver. I've been planning on making the trip, but part of me had not confirmed because I hadn't secured a travel buddy. Well, my dear friend Becca T has decided to not only join me on the above Weakerthans road trip, but also to Vancouver! And, she apparently knows someone with a farmhouse who will let us stay there for free. Yay!

3) I have a second date with the apartment that I saw on Saturday. I kept thinking about how much I liked it, and after talking to a bunch of people, I might just go for it and be done with the hunting process. I'm going to go see it again tomorrow after work, and if it lives up to what I remember, I will probably go for it. I'll keep you posted.

Other random tidbits from the weekend:
a) a coworker lent me season 1 of Arrested Development. I'd never really watched it and I have to say that I am enjoying it muchly.
b) I am sooooooooo going to miss the view from this apartment. Last night Becca T and I were able to watch all sorts of fireworks from my window. We could see all of the big shows across the city.
c) Only four more weeks of classes for me to teach. Then, exams and it's summer!

Yeah aliemalie, Vancouver! That's friend number 2 making plans to come out here, and still nothing from you......uhmmmm.....and meanwhile, since I'm not making plans to go to Calgary next month, I had to make other arrangements. :p

I never got into Arrested Development, but I enjoyed the few episodes I did see. Its one of those shows that I would like to get the DVDs for and watch all at once. :)
