Hijack a snowplow! Clear out the streets!

Long time no post, I know. Good news is that I just finished knitting my first pair of mittens tonight! :D

What else has been going on? Well, on Friday night I went to my work Christmas party. It was fun. I especially enjoyed going out to a bar on College St. after the party with some various coworkers.

On Saturday, I caught the musical Sweeny Todd, which was nearing its one month engagement in Toronto. I loved it, and it made me so incredibly excited for the upcoming Tim Burton/Johnny Depp version coming out soon.

Anyway, now I'm over the hump of another week of school. Only 6 more teaching days to go until vacation. I find that this semester has perhaps tired me out a bit, despite the fact that I have really good classes. Today I was talking to a colleague about the fact that I've had problems finishing books since September, and he suggested it was because of fatigue. This could also explain my lack of blogging as well. I'm not sure if it's tiredness; I don't think I'm more tired than I was in the past, but I just have a few different things on my plate that I didn't in the past, and maybe less time for reading and blogging.

Hopefully I'll be able to increase the amount of reading and blogging over Christmas vacay. I just want to spend a fairly quiet two weeks of reading and perhaps knitting another couple of pairs of mittens (it's so addictive and so much more interesting than knitting scarves!).

I've got a fun weekend coming up though, providing that I make it through the week. Becca T and I are going a Christine Fellows CD release party on Friday. On Saturday, I'm having my annual Christmas get together with a couple of friends from university. Then, on Sunday, I have a sushi lunch lined up. Sometime in between all of this I need to catch up on my marking and clean my apartment.

I got the Sufjan Stevens Christmas boxset. I love it. At least my attention span for music has not wavered. When I can no longer pay attention to music, then I'll worry.
