SUMMER FOREVER!
Seriously, the past week has been great! I've finished two excellent books (both Canlit too), listened to a lot of vinyl, got some good workouts in, got my nails done, etc., etc. I love this pace of life.
I also got my shots for Africa (yellow fever, typhoid, Hep A) and my prescriptions for anti-malarials.
Tonight is the first of three concerts in four days. It's The Barr Brothers, The Joel Plaskett Emergency, Camera Obscura and She & Him for TURF (Toronto Urban Roots Festival).
I am excited for all the bands, but I am most excited to hear this song. For me, it's one of those songs that I can really relate to. It's a little bit of a heartbreaking song, but because the melody and vocals and strings are so lovely, who cares? Also, the video is set in European cities like Paris and Barcelona, and we all know how I feel about those places.

I love The Barr Brothers (and all the others to be honest but they are the ones that are newest to me).
So glad summer is being good to you. Your shots for Africa feel like the start of the countdown (to me) I am so excited for your summmer!
