I see the rain again; I'll take the blame again.

Weird things that went through my head today:

- You could save a lot of money if you decided to celebrate all of your holidays a couple of days late. I was inspired by this latest money saving scheme when I saw Mothers' Day cupcakes on sale at the grocery store for a whopping $0.20 off.

- How the hell did I become a "grown-up"? This question passed through my head as I stood in line to buy a stamp for my mom's birthday card. I don't know why this task made me feel weird and grown-up but it did. Don't you sometimes look at your life and feel like you're playing grown-up? I constantly do.

- Ye gods: the 90s weren't as stylin' as I thought they were. This thought passed through my mind as I skimmed through a 1995 yearbook as I was making copies on the slow-as-death copier in the staffroom. I was in high school in 1995 and I swear I was far more fashionable than those in that yearbook. Hmmm, maybe in the 90s Stratford was the style mecca that I always assumed Toronto was.

- I'd kill to travel back through time and be back in high school for a couple of days. I really think that it would provide me with some kickass professional development. Much more useful than the workshops etc. that I have to go to now.

- Now that I'm a teacher, I do not want to listen to the same music as my students. Ick. That stuff sucks. It seems like it was just yesterday that I felt the opposite way; I did not want to listen to the same stuff as adults did.

Okay, that's all the weird thoughts for now. Here's a totally normal one: thank goodness Monday's over! It's all downhill (in a good way) from here!

Man do I love this post!!!! I totally thought I dressed so cool in highschool - the sad news is ...most of my clothes still fit, and I wear them. So if I wasn't cool then, it has only become worse. I also feel like Iam playing the role of grown up sometimes. Especially when I buy things for the home. Toilet paper still feels wrong to buy, it should just be something I find in the bathroom.

Great post!! However, now I realize that I am also 'grown up'.

p.s. Unlike yourself, I'd kill if I had to travel back to high school. I attended a play at my old high school a month ago and it gave me the weirdest creepiest feeling to be back.

I know exactly what you mean. All of the sudden you wake up and you are an full on adult. Strange feeling... wait until you get a mortgage. Yikes...
