Anyhow, since I was busy seeing movies and stuff last night, I didn't start my picture-a-day-for-a-week blog project. But I've started today. The picture below is the view of an intersection that I cross daily. I like being able to seeing the CN Tower in between other buildings.

After taking this picture, I thought about how living in Toronto was a dream of mine when I was a kid, but I never really acknowledged it. However, whenever I thought about what and who I wanted to be when I grew up, I always pictured myself in a city, usually that city would be Toronto.
Whenever I visited Toronto, I would be extremely excited, especially at the point where you are nearing the city and you can see the skyline in the far distance. I think that deep down excitement remains with me when I look down Yonge St. and see the CN Tower. It's pretty exciting to think that I'm living where I dreamed to live when I was younger.
And that's why I think I instinctively like my daily view of the CN Tower down Yonge St. as I come home from work.

Easy Silence. My favourite track from that album.
The good part about living and growing up in small towns is that there is only one radio station - which exposed you to what else, but naturally, country music. This was balanced by my innate liking for something a little less twangy and a little more soda.
between you, me and the wall, there's certain country music out there that i quite like as well. the Dixie Chicks are great, eh? love 'em.
super photo. i think it's great that you're living your dream of being in Toronto. keep on.

ummm, Dixis Chicks eh? :) I am a fan of them as people, but just not their music. I think my hatred of country music has to do with my upbringing, and that the fact that the only music my dad would listen to is country music, and I am not terribly fond of him, so listening to country music just reminds me of him, not good. I also find the lyrics incredibly boring, like something I could write if I was in a coma. ok, enough country music bashing. I liked the picture. I don't know where I wanted to live when I was growing up, but if I had to guess, it would be Vancouver. :)
i think my city was nyc in my younger days... but since high school it's shifted to toronto. unfortunately for me, it's so much easier to get into schools in the states compared to canada.
i like the pic.
