My dear friend Claire's blog alerted me to Rosalilium's challenge: Blog Every Day in May. My first thought was "impossible! I can't do it!" but then I realized that's been my first thought about many things I've done in my life (running 5K, 10K, doing the Grouse Grind, reading 52 books in one year). Clearly, this means I should attempt it.
And since I can't sleep after an awesome Tuesday: good day at work, finished a big project at work, a great training session, yummy dinner with 12 amazing friends, AND even got in some marking. Oh, and I've now fund-raised $250 for Camp Ooch for my upcoming 10K run. That's enough to send a kid with cancer to camp for a day! That made my day extra awesome. So after a great day, I figured why not start my blog project now?
Each day in May I will write a post according to a prompt. Today's prompt is 5 lines.
Introduce yourself or sum yourself up in just 5 lines. Include a photograph that you are proud of.
***I'm not sure of the definition of "line", and since lines change from draft to post, so I'm going to interpret the word line as sentence.***
I'm Christielli and the most important things in life to me, in no specific order, are building/maintaining relationships, knowledge & learning, music, books, and kindness. As I grow older, I've found that I really like to challenge myself to do new things, go new places, and to be the best version of myself that I can be. Hence, some of my focuses in 2013 are to be physically healthier, visit Kenya to build a school, and well, now I'm trying this blog challenge; hopefully it will get me to write more.
This is a picture of my friend Jolene and I at the Sporting Life 10K last year. I'm proud of it because Jolene has been my friend for almost 20 years, it was my first 10K race, and that I've kept up with running for another year. :)

Awesome to be doing this alongside you, sweetie :)
I too interpreted 'lines' as sentences!
I love that you were able to run your first 10k with a great friend! Amazing how time goes by so quickly, 20 years is a long time! I cherish those types of friendships!
Looking forward to following you. Elizabeth who started this whole thing is really lovely so I reckon you could not have picked a better challenge! x
